About Me
Thanks so much for visiting my digital portfolio and taking the time to get to know me!
I have a Bachelors of Communication from the University of Colorado, as well as a Masters of Teaching from Colorado College and am a former classroom teacher, district administrator, and eLearning content developer. After receiving my Masters of Science in Education/Learning Design & Technology from Purdue University, I transitioned into instructional design because I was looking for a way to work more closely with and support adult learners in a variety of fields.
My projects, which you can view by visiting the “Portfolio,” “Instructional Videos,” and “Documents” tabs, demonstrate my interest in creating interactive learning experiences and materials related to a wide variety of topics, including but definitely not limited to: College Staff Benefits & Rights, Hybrid Project Management, Youth STEAM Education in an Online Environment, Valid & Fair Assessment Development, UDL & Accessibility, and Project-Based Learning.
While I have lived in Denver, Colorado most of my life, I have had the privilege to work remotely for close to a decade developing content and learning opportunities for both nonprofit and for-profit organizations. My particular areas of interest and strength are in the use of various design models and principles, such as ADDIE, SAM, ARCS, CIP, Rapid Prototyping, as well as research and content creation.
Moving forward I would enjoy opportunities that allow me to further refine my skill set by working closely with stakeholders and learners to determine organizational and learner needs, apply various evaluation methods to demonstrate ROI related to trainings, and to ensure that all content I create is accessible, meaningful, and engaging.
